EUGENE BUSINESS DONATES $250,000 TOWARDS NEW YMCA; COMMUNITY ASKED TO MATCH
EUGENE / FEBRUARY 1, 2022 – Eugene-based company, Deployed Logix (DLX), donated $250,000 towards the construction of a new YMCA in south Eugene. The New Y project inspired DLX because it promises to be an “easily-accessible, engaging facility for those with disabilities.” The Y is asking for the community’s help to match DLX’s donation.
OREGON DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES PARTNERS WITH EUGENE-BASED COMPANY FOR CASCADIA EARTHQUAKE DISASTER PREPAREDNESS PLANNING
SALEM / FEBRUARY 21, 2022 – Last week the Oregon Department of Human Services Office of Resilience and Emergency Management showcased their plans for disaster mitigation and earthquake safety training in response to the Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake in Oregon. Currently, scientists are predicting that there is about a 37 percent chance that a megathrust earthquake of 7.1+ magnitude in the Cascadia fault zone will occur in the next 50 years.
