“What we’re doing here is very serious with a worldwide pandemic, and we still get the best personnel. It makes us feel good here in Costa Rica. The whole world is clamoring for support and DLX decides to send their best people. So thank you, DLX.”
– Lieutenant Colonel Juan Francisco Mata // Senior Defense Officer for SOUTHCOM
Deployed Logix partnered with U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) to deliver shelters and desperately needed medical supplies to 11 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. SOUTHCOM, a division of the U.S. Department of Defense, is hard at work to aid U.S. Embassies across the Southern Americas with donated pandemic relief funded through their Humanitarian Aid Program (HAP).
This was a large-scale, international project that required collaboration between the humanitarian organization, healthcare institutions, multiple embassies, defense forces, and more.
- Recieving countries include: Costa Rica // Peru // Ecuador // El Salvador // Brazil // The Dominican Republic // Panama // Guatamala // Jamaica // Uruguay
DLX was brought into this project to supply 24 complete field hospital capable of housing up to 40 patients each. Most of the configurations are equipped with generators and climate control units, based on the needs of the host country. We coordinated with SOUTHCOM to ensure each hospital was delivered in a timely manner, deployment-ready. DLX also provided certified training to the receiving institutions in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. The institutional and international cooperation required to provide equipment during a global pandemic has its challenges, but we were eager to rise to the occasion and do our part to beat COVID-19.
