Eugene business donates $250,000 towards new YMCA; community asked to match

EUGENE / FEBRUARY 1, 2022 – Eugene-based company, Deployed Logix (DLX), donated $250,000 towards the construction of a new YMCA in south Eugene. The New Y project inspired DLX because it promises to be an “easily-accessible, engaging facility for those with disabilities.” The Y is asking for the community’s help to match DLX’s donation. 

“Sometimes families like mine feel marginalized,” said Katie Urhausen, a mom to a daughter with severe disabilities and spokesperson/co-founder for DLX. “It means a lot just to be acknowledged and included. The Y recognizes, welcomes and engages people with disabilities, but can’t put forth their best effort because of the constraints of the old facility.” The new facility will include a therapy pool, among other features that make it accessible and innovative for those with disabilities. DLX is proud to play a small part in making our community more inclusive.
